3rd nap

he was yawning. I tried consoling then gave him his blankie at 3:58pm.

He was soothed by the blankie for less than a minute and started crying, but he is not crying at the top of his lungs.

I was wrong. he did start screaming at the top of his lungs. I'm going to give him 25 minutes then go in.

Ok. I picked him up, consoled him and put him back down. he put himself to sleep!

Second Attempt for Sleep Training

He was tired, of course. happy in my arms and started fussing as soon as I laid him down. I am trying to keep him calm until I leave. I left him crying at 12:15. Will let him cry for 20 min again if I can.

It is now 12:38pm and he is not crying. Maybe he finally learned to self soothe.......he was asleep. I looked in on him.

He woke crying after 30 min....

I'll give him another 10 and maybe go look at him. I just don't want him to be a total wreck! he was awake - ugh! ok. paci so he can sleep and feed

Sleep Training

May 27 - Jonah at 5 months cried last night for almost 30 minutes until we couldn't take it any longer. then I went in and picked him up, fed him, put him down, he was fine for 10 min on his own. then we let him cry for 5 min before Theo went in, picked him up and gave him his paci.

It is now May 28. He is tired. I patted him for 2 min, left. he's been crying since 8:42 am. After 20 min of consistent crying went in, picked him up, consoled him, put in down and eventually gave him his paci so that he could go to sleep. out of the room in 10 min. 1 day at a time...
